Light colors are the easiest to print on. White shirts are the least expensive to buy even using the 6.1oz Gildan Ultra Cotton Tees.
Even if you are using a darker shirt like the military green to the right the black ink is still pretty simple to print. I recently had to opportunity to print 2 colors from the same screen after applying a heat transfer in the center. It is a little more difficult than just printing a single color but it is doable.
White ink on a black shirt is pretty difficult. I believe I have gotten the secret. By using a thicker ink with a larger mesh screen I am able to put down a nice layer of ink. While I was testing one of these prints I wasnt able to tear up the ink until I actually ripped the shirt in half.
